About Me

My name is Emily and here’s a little bit about me and my 38 years experience of working with animals.

I started working at a horse riding stables when I was at the school age of just 12, I also owned a horse of my own. In this

time I learnt how to ride, muck out and generally care for all types of horses, large and small. It also taught me how to handle large animals which could sometimes be unpredictable. From the age of 15, I worked part-time at the RSPCA in Potters bar in Hertfordshire, looking after cruelty case animals or animals which just needed rehoming. These animals were anything from rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, dogs, cats and larger animals such as horses and goats. This was a great experience for me and taught me that, animals can be very frightened and need help and rehabilitation to trust humans again.  By the time I was 18 I had moved to full time employment. This included working in boarding kennels, looking after cats and dogs while their owners were on holiday. I also worked as a housekeeper, looking after their goats and their four Pyrenean Mountain dogs where I walked, bathed and groomed them for showing at dog shows including Crufts. ​I've also worked nights at the PDSA in Hendon  as an Auxiliary Nurse caring for the sick animals through the night. In the year 2000 I started my own pet sitting and dog walking business, where I looked after the animals in their own home and also walked people’s dogs whilst their owners were out at work.  At the same time I trained as a dog trainer and qualified in 2003. After qualifying I stopped pet sitting, and for 20 years had a very successful dog training and dog walking business, mostly through word of mouth recommendations. In this time I was able to help many people train their dogs and help with all aspects of their dog’s behaviour.  I have also had a licence for dog breeding of sprocker spaniels and have had a home boarding licence looking  after my clients  dogs in my own home. I  have experience in looking after many different types of reptiles from Snakes, Geckos, Tortoises, Exotic Frogs and even a Chameleon. With all my 38 years of experience combined, I can now bring these skills and knowledge to your home, where you can have peace of mind that your pet is in safe and capable hands.

 I’m fully insured, DBS checked. I'm extremly  happy to look after any animal that you may own.
