A little about Me
My name is Emily and here’s a little bit about me and my 40 years experience of working with animals.
I started working at a horse riding stables when I was 12 years old where I learnt how to ride, muck out and generally care for all types of horses, large and small.
The year after I shared a horse with my aunt and had a horse of my own.
From the age of 15, I worked part-time at the RSPCA looking after cruelty case animals and animals which needed rehoming.
At 18, I went on to working full time at a boarding kennels, looking after cats and dogs while their owners were on holiday.
I then went to worked as a housekeeper and looked after four Pyrenean Mountain dogs. My responsibilities included walking, bathing and grooming them for showing at dog shows, including Crufts. I also had responsibility for looking after their two goats.
In 1998 I moved to Bedfordshire and became an Auxiliary Nurse working nights at the PDSA in Hendon having sole responsibility for the care of sick animals.

In the year 2000 I started my own pet sitting and dog walking business. At the same time I trained as a dog trainer and qualified in 2003.
After qualifying, I stopped pet sitting and for 25 years had a very successful dog training and dog walking business, mostly through word of mouth recommendations. I helped many people train their dogs and helped with all aspects of their dog’s behaviour.
In 2018 I obtained a licence for dog breeding and had a home boarding licence looking after clients dogs in my own home.

I also have experience of looking after many different types of reptiles from Snakes, Geckos, Tortoises, Exotic Frogs and even a Chameleon.

With all my 40 years of experience combined, I can now bring these skills and knowledge to your home, where you can have peace of mind that your pet is in safe and capable hands.
